Privacy notice

Last updated:

This notice explains, in plain English, what happens to your information when you use this website or contact re:SPACE. We have kept it short because the site collects very little: there are no analytics, no advertising and no cookies.

Who we are

This website is run by RE:SPACE DEVELOPMENTS LIMITED, trading as re:SPACE, a company registered in England (company number 16245207), registered office 3 Barry Road, London SE22 0HX.

For the purposes of UK data protection law, the data controller is RE:SPACE DEVELOPMENTS LIMITED.

Data protection requests are handled by our director, Alessio Giorgetti: email alessio@respace.uk.

What we collect and why

WhenWhatWhy
You send the contact formYour name, email address, company (optional), project type, your message, the date and time, and the fact that you ticked to confirm you had read this notice.To reply to your enquiry and, if you ask us to, to discuss and quote for your project.
You email us directlyYour email address and whatever you choose to include.To reply to you.
You visit any pageStandard server logs kept by our hosting provider: IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time.To keep the website running, secure and free of abuse.

We do not use your details for marketing, we do not sell them and we do not use them to build profiles.

Our lawful basis

We rely on our legitimate interests in replying to people who contact us and in running a secure website. Where your enquiry is about a project you may ask us to carry out, we also rely on taking steps at your request before entering into a contract. Ticking the box on the form confirms you have read this notice.

Spam protection

The form contains a hidden field that people never see and records how long the page was open before you pressed send. Messages that fill the hidden field, or arrive within a few seconds, are treated as spam and discarded. To stop repeated automated messages, your IP address is checked against a short-lived count of recent messages. That count is held in memory only and is not stored.

Who processes your information for us

  • Vercel Inc. hosts this website and runs the code that receives the contact form. On our current plan, the runtime logs available to us are kept for one hour. Vercel’s own handling of data is set out in its privacy policy.
  • Resend delivers your form message to our inbox at alessio@respace.uk. On our current plan, Resend keeps sent-email data and logs for 30 days.
  • Our email provider stores the messages we receive: Google Workspace.

Resend handles your information under its data processing addendum. Vercel and Google handle it under their own terms and privacy policies.

Transfers outside the UK

Vercel and Resend are based in the United States, so your information may be processed there. Vercel states that it complies with the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and its UK Extension. Resend’s data processing addendum relies on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses as amended by the UK Addendum.

How long we keep it

How long we keep an enquiry depends on what happens next. If it does not become a project, we keep it only as long as we need it to reply and follow up. If it becomes a project, we keep it with the project records for as long as we need them for the work and for our legal, tax and accounting obligations. We then delete it.

Your rights

You can ask us to:

  • give you a copy of the information we hold about you;
  • correct anything that is wrong;
  • delete your information;
  • restrict or object to how we use it;
  • send it to you, or to someone else, in a portable format.

Email alessio@respace.uk. We will reply within one month. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
