Frequently asked questions
Q1What does a rigging contractor do?
A rigging contractor plans and carries out the lifting, suspension and fixing of loads — from signage and lighting to temporary structures — safely and to a method statement. re:SPACE provides rigging teams, crane operations, structural services and maintenance at height for events, installations and fit-out projects in the UK and Spain.
Q2Do you provide rigging for events?
Yes. We rig temporary structures and event installations, including brand activations and seasonal schemes, and de-rig them afterwards. Our rigging teams have worked for El Corte Inglés across multiple sites in Spain, including Málaga. The same crews handle crane operations, maintenance at height and logistics, so lifts and deliveries are planned with the install.
Q3Can you work at height on heritage buildings?
Yes. Heritage buildings need fixing strategies that avoid damaging protected fabric, and our rigging teams provide structural services and maintenance at height. Our heritage work includes Mercato Mayfair, a 25,000 sq ft food market inside St Mark’s Church, a Grade I* listed building from 1822, where planning permission, listed building consent and the premises licence were managed in parallel with the build.
Q4Do you handle crane permits and logistics?
We plan crane operations and delivery logistics as part of the job, including coordinating delivery windows and the permits a lift requires. On city-centre sites, logistics is often the critical path, so we programme it from the start. Rigging and Structures is part of our work for El Corte Inglés across multiple sites in Spain, including Málaga.
